    How To Stream MP4 On A Website – H.264 High Def

    I recently started doing High Definition videos for one of my customers, and I ran into a problem with mp4 files streaming on websites. What was happening was the mp4 file had to download in full before it would start playing. Come to find out, the metadata for an mp4 is located in the back of the video file information, and the video will not play until it reaches the metadata information.

    I found a program that moves the metadata information from the back of the mp4 file to the front, so that the file will start playing instantly and stream on a website, instead of waiting to start until the entire video is downloaded. This program is really easy to use, and works extremely fast, all you have to do is open the program up in a Windows OS, open the folder the movie file sits in and press edit all files in the lower left, then wait for it to work, takes a minute or less of time, and then you are done. Now the metadata is at the front of the mp4 file and it will play instantly without having to download the entire video file.

    A few days ago I was trying to find a code to embed wmv video on a website, and I stumbled upon this handy media code generator that writes the code needed to display videos on a website. All you have to do is fill in the information, press submit, copy the code, and paste it into your website and you are done.

    The embed code generator works for the following video formats:

    Scott’s Law & Harsh Penalties For Drivers

    Not sure how many people have heard about Scott’s Law, but it is now effective in Colorado, California, Illinois, and is being actively pursued to be a law in several other states. Scott’s Law, also referred to as the "Move Over Law", has high violation fines and possible 1 month or more driver license suspension. Motorist who do not know about this law, who are pulled over and plead ignorance of this law are still given a ticket and a fine.

    In my opinion, the concept of this law is great, because I think people should move over for emergency vehicles that have their lights on, or if people are walking around on the side of the road such as cops, firefighters, rescue workers, etc. Several times I have seen people gawking at accidents and unconsciously start to steer their cars towards the direction they are looking at, which can result in serious accidents. I can say, without a doubt, that several emergency workers have been injured or killed by motorist who did move over for emergency vehicles. » Read the rest of the entry..

    [Fix]Microsoft Office – Files Blocked By Registry Policy Setting

    A few days ago I was planning on going through some of my old office files and deleting out any files that were out dated, or I did not need anymore. But every time I tried to open a file I received this nice error from Office 2003 & 2007 saying

    You are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting.

    And

    You are attempting to open a file that was created in an earlier version of Microsoft Office. This file type is blocked from opening in this version by your registry policy setting.

    So after trying to open up two files and receiving this error, I head over to Google to do some research, and see what is causing this error. After a little while of looking around, I find a Microsoft page explaining how to fix it. The fix involves several registry changes to stop Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint from producing this error.

    Well to make life easier for the next person that has this error message, and to avoid having to play around in the registry, which can cause some serious problems, I decided to make a registry patch that you just open up, and it will automatically add all the necessary registry entries in a few seconds for you.

    1 WordPress Database Plugin That Does It All

    While looking around at the latest plugins that are available for WordPress, I noticed on wordpress org, that the second most popular plugin is WP-DB-Backup. As I continue browsing through the most popular list of plugins, I find several other plugins that optimize the WordPress database, and plugin that will help you restore your database if it’s corrupted, then a few other plugins to help you back up your database much like DB-Backup.

    After a while of looking through this list of popular plugins I start thinking to myself, "Why don’t more people know about the all in one database plugin that does everything you could possibly want with a Database without the need of installing multiple plugins to do the job."

    So in attempt to save my visitors time and hassle, I would like to recommend WP-DBManger plugin.

    Ad Stripe Hybrid Code – Does Not Annoy Visitors

    If you are new to blog-O-sphere, or a season veteran, chances are you have most likely seen the Blog Ad stripe at the top of a WordPress website. The most popular Ad Stripe plugin I have seen was created by MaxBlogPress, which is the one John Chow uses on his blog. (in case you haven’t seen an ad stripe, just look at the top of my webpage and you will see it with a link to Howbits Forum).

    Note: This Ad Stripe code works on other types of websites, even forums, not just WordPress.

    I recently decided to try out maxblog ad stripe plugin on my website, but I noticed some annoyances right from the beginning that would not make my visitors very happy. Some visitors, I hope, would not mind the ad stripe at the top, but others would be really annoyed if they closed it, and then every time they clicked on a new article or refreshed the page, the ad stripe would appear again, in a relentless cycle.

    In my opinion, this would not do because an annoyed visitor will not return, so I wanted to give my visitors the ability to keep the ad stripe up if they wanted, but if they closed the Ad Stripe, it would be gone and not bother them anymore. So with a little tinkering, and a lot of reading, I created a hybrid ad stripe that stays closed permentely and works with Wp-supercache. I would like to make this into a plugin, but I do not know at this time, so if someone wants to make a plugin for this code, please go right ahead.

    Note: This Ad Stripe will not work with visitors that have cookies acceptance turned off, or if javascript is not allowed to run. The Ad Stripe ad will continue to appear on the website after they close it.
