If you are interested in adding ajax comments to your website, I highly recommend using the following three Plugins together. The only time your comment area will force a page reload, is when the first comment is posted for an article, after that the entire comment area is ajax.

WordPress Thread Comments, With Ajax mode enabled – It will create the threaded appreance in the comment area, with great ajax encoding. All I can say about this plugin is to get it, use it and love it.

WP Ajax Edit Comments - Adds a Digg like Edit comment feature. You can set a time limit before a comment can not be edited. As far as the admin features, you can delink URL address if you want, edit, delete, and mark spam comments on the fly. No longer do you need to log into the admin comment area to make changes. You can do right from the front end of your blog.

*** A side note about Ajax Edit Comments, I recommend using an older revision of this plugin such as 2.2.1.1.  The new versions have problems with the delink button and flaky comment editing ability.

AJAH Comments (Ajax Paged Comments) – Simple plugin, ajax your comment list pages. The built in paged comment list feature of wordpress forces the page to reload whenever someone wishes to view the next comment page. With AJAH, this feature is now using ajax and does not force a page reload if someone is browsing through the comment list.

Again, I will repeat this, All these plugins work together with no issues or problems. If you have any questions or need help with any of the plugins, feel free to leave a message.

    Nice collection. Thank’s!

  2. I have a problem with the Ajax comments. When I submit a comment, the encoding is changed.. I mean there are other comments posted in Cyrillic and when the comment is posted the other comments are “????” “??”…
Suggestion – user_avatars? It will be nice to have them..?

Do you have a page that I can take a look at and see what’s happening? And as far as user_avatars, the system already supports grav icons. Just have to turn it on in the backoffice of wordpress and in Ajax Edit comment settings.
