The frozen hand tool can also occur if you run out of system memory. So if it’s constantly get sick, check your system memory usage in the task manager.

If I google “stuck on handtool in photoshop” it solves the problem. I only have to write it in and press search and photoshop is no longer stuck on the hand tool. I think that that is really weird.

I am very grateful for whoever posted these fixes. For me the simple space bar press worked but I had spent an hour fiddling with the stuck handbar before I found this website.Thanks!
