Howbits - Newsbits - Picbits

So it’s official, Howbits is now split up into three parts, News, Pictures, and Howbits(which is tidbits, How Tos, and Tips). Each one has their own feed and will only serve up related post for each blog. If you are on my current feed for Howbits, here are the links to the webpages.

I have been adding to each blog already, so enjoy.

I plan to be posting an article on SEO tactics and why I prefer to use Add-on Domains over a directory such as http://howbits.com/news/.  A short answer right now, is that Add-on domains are search engine friendly, and they appear as their own website and not part of the main website. Yes you do have to do SEO on each one, but what I did, was get the SEO right on howbits, then I duplicated it on each Add-on Domain. But as a result you will have multiple websites show up on search engines and they will not be supplemental or related links on google search. I will go indepth on the why and hows of doing it and how to use it in your favor.

To see a good example of how this works, goto Google search and type in v7n. It’s a webmasters website I visit on a daily basis, but each part of the website is broken on Add-on Domains, and it’s amazing how it works.

A good example for my readers is if you have a website page dedicated to pictures, it’s good to make the page pictures.yourwebsite.com. Unless it’s a dynamic page, then it will be a hassle to move it over. Each add-on page can and will take on it’s own PageRank, and you can share the PageRank wtih other Add-on Domains or the main domain website. I am currently testing some PageRank ideas, to see which page will get the highest PageRank.

Don’t forget to check out the Forum, need to get some post going, seeing as it’s brand new.
