In the last two days I have been toying with some ideas, and trying to decide on the direction I want to take with Howbits.com. I created this website on a whim, and at the time I just wanted a website where I could post things I found on the internet that I found interesting. But as time has passed I have been trying to figure out what niche I want to fill with the website. I enjoy posting images, Videos, and random news stories I find, but I feel I have spread myself out to much. So I have decided I am going to post Tidbits and how tos, and little tricks that work in every day life to make things easier. On top of these every day tips, I will be posting computer fixes for common problems, and some tips for optimizing a computer. In the last few days I have slacked off on the posting of SEO articles for a couple of reasons, I am in the middle of testing some ideas and they will take a week or two to find out the results of the trial. I do plan on continuing my post of SEO and Blogging, and how to get traffic to your website.
I will continue to add some news commentary if something really interesting comes up, but I want this website to be of use to people, not a website where I can vent my opinions about what happens in the news, besides, there is already enough people doing this. I will also post images on the website, but I plan to post the images on another part of the website, which will be labeled Picbits (The name of this category is still on the drawing board :) ).
In the next coming days I will be adding a forum to the website, and a way for other people to post other helpful Howbits. I plan to allow bot following and hyperlinking to the authors websites so they can get traffic for making a post. People will be allowed to post Articles, Videos, and Pictures. I will be adding a ranking system where people can vote on how helpful / useful the information is.
The new setup will be completed in about 2 days, I plan to continue posting on the website, and will not stop doing that, even though I will be extremely busy finishing up the changes.
