It’s good to see Myspace, Facebook, Linkedin, etc, going for global markets. Just amazing to think that 60% or more of subscribers are outside of the United States. There is not much I can say in regards to the article, except that I am all for it.
For anyone who wants to get traffic to their website, blog, forum, or just to meet people, I can not recommend it enough for people to use Social-networking websites. I have a Myspace profile and a blog that I use, and the traffic has been amazing, not to mention the people I’ve met. So far I have not had any request to add a language translation scrip, but if someone wants it, I would be more than happy to add it. On all the web areas I manage, I welcome any nationality, and I think it’s good to offer a way to make the website comfortable for them.
I have a lot of friends online from around the world and I would not know them, if not for social-networking websites. I’m all for the world becoming smaller, people connecting with each other, and the ability to meet people you otherwise would not have met.
